Happy to say I live nearly in the middle of the "American Redoubt".

Put a candle in the window for me, Terry, it is a longish walk up from New Mexico.

South Dakota west of the Missouri ain't too bad, though. In fact, I often wonder why this part of the state is not part of Wyoming. Sioux Falls is the "liberal redoubt" of SD.

I frequently daydream about the eastern slope near Libby, MT.

@Terry - Me and the missus will not be bugging out to anywhere. We have some physical limitations that make it durn near impossible to hit the road, so we are bugging in. We have food, water, meds, guns n ammo, so forth to last for a year. if things get bad real quick or last for longer we'll do what we have to do. W!e are prepared to die for our beliefs and
we will go down swinging. No surrender. N!o. Surrender.

Except, once a few hundred liberals show up and start "fixing the place" the conservatives will pick up and flee to the next redoubt. This is how we got suburbs, private schools, gated-communities, etc.

Until we overcome this habit of handing over our hard work to liberals we will never have peace. There is no low-conflict future. The liberals will find you and bring their friends and you will get tired of their company and leave again, and again. If we had fought early and often at the start WE would control almost everything instead of less and less. It is a belief if avoiding a fight that leads to the nice people leaving over and over. The only question is will that fight take place now or later, where you are at or where you will be, near the people you know or the people you will meet. Make their life hell, it's great fun once you understand they aren't nearly as powerful as you fear. You aren't trying to make them your friend, but keep your stuff and way of life.

The Liberal's have learned there will always be those in our midst willing to switch rather than fight. Don't be that guy.

I agree tscottme, I am watching what you described happen here. It was peaceful 8 years ago when we moved to the woods, then the communists started showing up.

The solution is the same as it's always been, they need to be killed.

The failed order of democracy favors the communists over the rights of the individual.

It will always be this way as long as the brainless cowards can be easily convinced to dance around the cannibal pot.

The next move will be to an even more isolated and harsh area.

Ghostsniper why assume the people that won't vote in numbers, won't protest in office and school, won't hassle the liberals in their midst, will kill people in their midst. With all due respect, this fantasy that the passive will jump from passive to Rambo, won't happen and just makes it easier to sit arund and do nothing.

Start resisting in small ways now, increase that over time, and you won't have to kill and you can keep your stuff and your way of life. Much less will be required if almost everyone does a little bit of something now, and where they live.

Yes, if we all keep dogin what we have all been doing the only hope will be winning a civil war where too many of us will kill or be killed. You are choosing to kill or be killed if you keep choosing to wait or do nothing until some celebrity on TV tells you it's time to act. Don't fool yourself. The only question is how much fighting will be required, not IF fighting will be required. Doing nothing IS choosing to kill or be killed. No amount of following rules will keep you safe and out of reach of Liberals. They will find you.

ghostsniper: I walk the eastern slopes along Lake Koocanusa once about every other week. I see black bear, cougar, elk, deer and other critters and when you reach the ridge top you can also see the results of clear cuts. If you want pristine and undisturbed, I recommend the Flathead, or the eastern slopes of the Whitefish range...where I live :)
