"Sam blew a kiss and waved to the crowd, then walked back to the sideline."

Pretty much sums up his career. Out. In. Out. Over. Michael Sam Cut As St. Louis Rams Finalize Roster

As I wrote when he was drafted, if he demonstrated to an NFL coaching staff that he could play football at that level, then he'd make it. If not, then he wouldn't. So maybe now we can just get on with the season.

This just in:

NFL coach makes decision based on abilities, not race or gender orientation.

This radical strategy leaves fans shocked. Exhuberant demonstrations are promised as soon as a suitable city is chosen to burn down. Concerned rabble rousers will be bussed in. 

The biggest failure for Gaydom is the missing public approbation of hearing "You Cocksucker" when he 'blew' a play. They'll have to wait another dreary period.

Coach Jeff Fisher was very, very careful to say clearly that Sam's gayness had nothing -- nothing at all, I tell ya! -- with him being released.

Translate as you wish.

Big shock. He was a passable player who happened to be homosexual; knowing he wasn't likely to get drafted very well or get a good contract he gayed it up to get more attention and media support. It worked, for a while - and may yet, by being picked up by someone like the Redskins to try to stave off the manic attempt to ban their name - but eventually skill and the needs of the team are going to win out.

In sports, still, merit is what matters. If you can't play or materially contribute to the team, you gotta go.

Homeboy screwed the pooch when he kissed the little white phag who looked like every male cheerleader ever. The NFL fan crowd will never buy into Samantha after having to bleach their eyeballs after that abomination

Victim status:

Black

Queer

Un-employed

Set for life. Soon to be seen as poster boy, er, person for latest cause of the month. A Ferguson MO mailing address would help.
