Student loan debt has tripled in a decade,

even while many universities now see no problem in departing from their primary mission of education,

and have drifted into a priority of ideological brainwashing and factories of propaganda. Combine all these factors, and you have a generation of young people who may have student debt larger than the mortgage on a median American house (meaning they will not be the first-time home purchasers that the housing market depends on to survive), while having their head filled with indoctrination that carries zero or even negative value in the private sector workforce.

Your Say

Just wait until the "new" insurance rates start popping up BEFORE the elections, you know...uh...now that they're..um... mandatory(for SOME). Apparently much to the dismay of SOME folks that seem to quietly "schedule" (para)"I can do more...uh....after the election".

"..who may have student debt larger than the mortgage on a median American house"
I wonder what would happen to the education industrial complex if young folks learned...say...how to build (plumb/wire) their OWN house?
Would there be a lack of lawyer/sociologist/administrator/mortgage officer
"crisis"?

There are many smooth hands and manicured nails coming out of the higher institutes of lower learning; reality bites when that everybody thought was a dummy in high school charges them $150/hr to clean out the p-trap under the sink or reset that breaker at zero dark 30 some morning.
