Faking Galileo

There was a further problem:
the letters p and i touched each other in a way that is impossible to produce with letterpress — but that can happen with digital reproductions. Wilding also noticed a significant inked blotch that deformed a letter at the bottom of the title page, something that was missing in other copies, but not Sotheby’s.
