The Curious Case of "The Spark Ranger"

He retired from the parks service late in 1976 and moved with his fourth wife to a town called "Dooms."
Just to be safe, he went ahead and installed several lightning rods to his home, including sinking the thick copper wire seven feet deep in the ground.  Unfortunately, he wasn'€™t home when the next lightning strike supposedly happened. He was fishing.
