Well I wore my .44 so long, Lord it made my shoulder sore (2x)

After I do what I want to, ain't gonna wear my .44 no more....

Get your nightcap mama, and your gown

Baby 'fore day we gonna shake 'em on down

You know the life I'm living

I've been living it for a many year

I know the chariot was coming for me

But I didn't know what kind of chariot

Gonna take me away from here

Your Say

Chester Burnett and a bunch of other blues guys left this extra dimension of their music behind when they went north.

One commentator noted that Burnside, Big Jack Johnson, Paul "Wine" Jones, Roosevelt "Booba" Barnes and James "Super Chikan" Johnson were "present-day exponents of an edgier, electrified version of the raw, uncut Delta blues sound." They were "discovered" by garage bands, I believe because of the visceral feeling of the music.
