Your Say

A soldier will NEVER accept a seat from a woman, a child, or an elderly person, ever.

Jesus christ, what is this world turning into?

Based on the news story I read, the soldier was told he was getting an upgrade by a stewardess. Though he and the actress may have talked later during disembarking the likely truth is he thought that it was corporate largess when he changed seats.

And a soldier CAN accept a seat from a young lady, if he offers her his lap ;-}

And buys the beers.

Well, as nice a gesture as it might seem, the actress didn't sacrifice anything. Real charity would be expressed with money to veterans support groups for families that lost their soldier or with visits to VA hospitals and the troops that came back damaged.
Real charity would cost the giver something, otherwise it is shallow charity.

I read the article, it's all hearsay, no factuality.
