Same-sex marriage: coercion dolled up as civil rights

Coercion is built into gay marriage.

They used to say love and marriage went together - in the gay-marriage movement, it’s authoritarianism and marriage that are bedfellows.

Your Say

Even if it were authentic, no serious scholar believes that the gnostic gospels try in any way to convey historical events, and this fragment would clearly fall within the category of gnostic.

You can find the gnostic gospels on line. Search for the Gospels of Phillip, the Gospel of Mary, or the Gospel of Truth. They were the New Age rubbish of late antiquity. They are impossible to understand, filled with arcane references and daft Neo-Platonism that do not resonate with the modern ear. All attempts to popularize them have failed for precisely those reasons.

So what?
The state has been waist deep in the marriage business for at least several decades now, why not go all the way? I've said many times that if my wife and I ever become unmarried I will never make that mistake again. I was dumb then, I am smarter now. The gov't has no say in whom I take up with.

Marriage is just one more thing this rotten assed gov't has ruined.

Anybody keeping score?
