Well, I don't think we have a food processor. But speaking of DIY foods, when my daughter was making homemade icing for my mom's birthday cake, she discovered we did not have enough powdered sugar on hand.

In a flash of inspiration, I cleaned my coffee grinder, spooned table sugar into it and let 'er rip. Takes longer than grinding coffee, but the result is indistinguishable from store-bought - and a heckuvalot cheaper.
