"Are We Really This Powerless? " [Bumped]

mo.jpg

There's Mrs. Obama looking sad and grim,
and the sad thing here is that the low-information crowd that's puddling around out there on Twitter is gonna think we're actually doing something about it. Here it is again, closer. See it? Is that not pathetic? What the hell message does that send? Can you imagine? They're laughing at this over in the huts and so forth wherever they are. It is just unbelievable. #BringBackOurGirls. They're Nigerian, unless there's something that we don't know.

I am sad for all the victims, but notice how it only is the black children that this crowd cares about. How about the thousand Syrian children killed and gassed, or the Ukranian dead? Oh yea, Shelia Jackson Lee and Michelle Obama are concerned only when it is black children. I hate these people.

Such a feeble pathetic offering. trip, I don't think they are concerned about any of those girls. They just put up feel-good bits so the idiot college kids and others more stupid then them keep the votes coming in.

Look at that pouting face. You know what it needs? Yep, a good hard punch in the face.

What really pisses me off about this is the real harm and the real consequences that will result because this is supposedly The First Lady of the United State. It's one thing when a bunch of American nobodies who want to express solidarity or sympathy but are otherwise completely powerless to do anything in any way, shape or form about what happens elsewhere in the world. Like teenage girls, for instance. When the First Lady does it, she's telling the world that not only she is powerless, but that we are powerless. And not just in this matter, but in pretty much anything of consequence that happens anywhere. And the same is true of that stupid minge in the State department who thinks that starting a hashtag war with Putin is the best way to talk about what he's doing in Ukraine.

The only way this would have been acceptable is if she followed the first message with a second one announcing, say, that new glass mines are about to open up somewhere in the vicinity of the terrorist encampments. Or that some of her hubby's famous drones are being sent to investigate.

Anything but this disgusting, powerless, childish pouty face.

God help us all.

How fallen is the formerly mighty United States. We now do community organizing as foreign policy.

I have told my parents, 87 and 86 years old, that they were privileged to have lived during the greatest years America had or will ever have. I see no recovery ever from the decline of this country. I just can't predict how far it will go.

But it has a lot further to go, I know that.

Posted by: Donald Sensing at May 8, 2014 1:55 PM

In February this same group killed a bunch of boys at a school, and nobody cared. The request that this group be designated a terrorist organization was denied by Hillary Clinton when she was Secretary of State.

Now that its girls, suddenly they're bad guys.

I'm trying to come up with a word that rhymes with punt, but all I can come up with is one that rhymes with swat.

Posted by: Jewel at May 8, 2014 3:56 PM

Chris: I don't think gender factors in. Hillary did not acknowledge bad things while she was SoS, make her look bad. Also, this seems like "feel-good flavor of the week" thrown out there so the gullible voters will think, "oh, yeah, they are concerned, they are doing something". Our ass-clowns in DC can call on any of a dozen tragedies to showcase their concern.

Hillary Clinton: Poverty, not Islam the problem behind Boko Haram.

Puny little waif of a bitch. She and her little hand made sign…that she didn't' make….posing in the lavishness of the WH. She doesn't care about anything except herself and if there just happens to be a God, He is gonna throw her into Hell like a 98 mph fastball.

Will any of this make the America hating, race baiting, reparation demanding offspring of former slaves more appreciative of the freedom of living in the United States?

I dearly hope nobody tries to photoshop that picture. Especially the sign part.

Check your priviledge, you guys.

Posted by: Jewel at May 8, 2014 8:49 PM

Jewel, leave "chas" out of this one.

As foolish or ugly or stupid as they are, they are the ones in power. Doesn't matter how they got there, what should matter is how to get rid of 'em. It will not be at the ballot box.

Two American girls are among the kidnapped. Children of Wycliffe Bible Translators.

Posted by: Joan of Argghh! at May 9, 2014 3:46 AM

I do not oppose efforts to rescue the kidnapped girls. What I oppose is the insipid and ineffectual display by Michelle Obama.

We ought to be considering an armed response.

Posted by: chasmatic at May 9, 2014 4:34 AM

If Christopher Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods and Glen A. Doherty didn't deserve a rescue attempt, or a hashtag, then neither do those girls.

Purely a political attempt for attention. This terrorist group has killed thousands of Christians and Michelle was unfazed. But suddenly she is concerned? "our children" kill three times that mny people in Chicago every year and Michelle is unfazed by it all.

Posted by: GoneWithTheWind at May 9, 2014 7:10 AM

When and only when we stop dealing with the uncivilized in a civilized manner will this crap stop. Hashtags, negotiations, chats, diplomacy or appeasement won't work. Death swift and sure on them and theirs to the last ends the practice. Then salt their fields.

Posted by: Vermont Woodchuck at May 9, 2014 7:48 AM

The sign should read "Affirmative Action at work". The depth of deceit in this country is beyond mind blowing.

Of course someone needs to something about rescuing the girls, although I'm not at all sure that someone (apart, perhaps, from a few advisors/trainers) ought to be anyone from the West.

The real question is what ought to be done once they are found. And I think that it's virtually certain that what will be done is not what ought to be done, which is: Rescue the girls, then kill all the perps AFTER killing the entire family of every one of them while they watch. Except perhaps one oldster to bear witness. And then burn down the village or camp they live in, burn all their crops and sow the entire area with antipersonnel mines.

Modern version of "Grave of the Hundred Heads". Kipling had it right.

I don't support US involvement in this thing at all. These people are not our responsibility and we owe them nothing in any sense including through some "humanitarian" concept.

If the US wants to get tough and go after something there is the illegal immigration and drug trafficking business that occurs 365/24/7 all along the border and that problem is far more important than any other problem.

The US can get fierce and nasty and down in those trenches and after we've got our messes eradicated then we might provide some advice, but not one single US soldier should be called upon to go after Boko Haram. That group are legitimate friends of Barak Obama and Hillary Clinton

Posted by: Jack at May 9, 2014 12:43 PM

Does the Nigerian govt care about the missing girls? Can we care so much that our effort will supersede their not caring?

If the Nigerian people care about their kids will they support a Nigerian govt that doesn't care? You cannot really help someone that isn't prepared to change.

The Leftists are schizophrenic about The White Man's Burden. We are simultaneously told it's our duty to save the climate and butt-out of every shit hole country where murder and mayhem are the order of the day.

Posted by: Scott M at May 9, 2014 1:33 PM

Agreed. I understand somebody kicked a puppy in Belgium....and laughed! Is a military response required there as well?

Posted by: Lorne at May 9, 2014 1:36 PM

"every day when I wake up, and I think about young girls in Nigeria"

OK so that's a partial quote but still, sounds a bit... improper. Reggie Love would be heartbroken.

Thirty-seven comments, hmph. I am the most clever and insightful. I often use polysyllabic words and witty sophistic argument.

I am the winner.

This lifted off the pages of The Washington Rebel some months ago, before it imploded. The sophistry and polemical discussion on that blog site reached critical mass:
"I doubt the efficacy of teaching, though it's noble indeed to attempt it. Witness the enormous learning, wit, and insight of so many wonderful bloggers whose voices can now be heard. Still, as entertaining as their efforts are, it seems to me that the effect of their work in defeating the liberal, grifter enemy is marginal. Colonel B. Bunny

The name on the side of USunglasses or the logo
on the box can make all the difference in the world when trying to make a statement.
Some online retailers will run end of season sales to
clear out their stocks of sunglasses as well as eye glasses.
You can set your eyeglasses on the image
to see how well the Cocoons will cover your eyeglasses for both shape and size.
