As Generation X begin to take over from their Boomer and Silent-Generation parents,

the divides between the castes of the United States are becoming more obvious and more problematic than before.
Our Brahmin caste—the Good White People™, citizens of the world who know to check their privilege—have an ever-greater need to stoke thedish hatred and push non-White Americans as well as un-American imports against the Bad White People™ (that is, everyone else). Fragmentation is becoming polarization.
