Does salt water count? I was once told by a priest that even radiator water counted, of course no car today has water in its radiator. Maybe urine would count.

The ritual of Baptism is symbolic. Most fundamental denominations believe that total immersion baptism is closer to the scriptural example of Jesus being baptized by John (The Baptist). I was brought into the Light in a Pentecostal fellowship; I was immersed three times: in the name of The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost.

Don't get bogged down by details, in this case it is an Inside Job.

One has to wonder if the baptism was completed before this individual was called away to meet his maker.

Of course the parable of casting one's bread upon the waters comes to mind...
