A true Democrat? You mean a segregationist?

Spelled "principles" wrong, assholes.

The principles of a labor union. What would that be? Extorting companies to pay more for your labor then it's worth. Throing a hissy fit and breaking things and attacking people when you don't get your own way. Keeping other people out ofthe job market so you can force your employer to pay more and more for your labor. becoming a political crony and paying politicians under the table to give you what you want at the expense of the other citizens. They shouldn't be called principles as if the Mafia had "principles".

I'll depart faster than you can say "union thug".

I don't know. I think principals are what unions are all about, i.e., union bosses.

Unions are a fine way for the less competent and lazy to get paid as much as their harder working and more skillful co-workers.

Malagate - I think they did mean principals, i.e. that you're welcome to stay if you pay union dues to support the union officers (principals). One or both of the departed had probably been one.

'Will you pour this bottle of 100 year old Single Malt on my grave?"

"Aye. But, can I strain it thru my kidneys first?"
