Heroin and the Algebra of Need

One of the mysteries of human biology. Some can use alcohol, marijuana, even cocaine as something they can do in moderation. Some are addicts after the first drink, toke, or snort. Could we but find out why, it might give some hope of solving this problem that blights our culture.

That sort of behavior is not caused by drug use. It is an indication of a flawed character. Take obama for example. He has done all of those things, many times, and not once I have I heard of him being addicted to drugs of late. In fact, most politicians are guilty of those things all the time. Same is true of cops and most likely all gov't employees. Are they all addicted to something? Or are they proponents of moral decline?
