Woody Allen / People Magazine / 1976

"I'm open-minded about sex. I'm not above reproach; if anything, I'm below reproach.
I mean, if I was caught in a love nest with 15 12-year-old girls tomorrow, people would think, yeah, I always knew that about him." Allen pauses. "Nothing I could come up with would surprise anyone," he ventures helplessly. "I admit to it all." Like with Clinton, the supporters claim the charges are not true, could not be true, are vicious lies, and no big deal.

It's like the lawyer arguing his client wasn't at the scene. If the client was at the scene he did not do it. If the client did it, he did it in self-defense.
