"Progressives would rather die than admit their beliefs are dogmas. "

They each pretend they are all fearless and independent thinkers,
who have all come to the same fashionable conclusions because the matters are so clear and obvious — too, too obvious to bother discussing — that no other opinion is possible, or need to be explored. In other words, they are conformists pretending to be nonconformists, they are stupid people pretending to be smart, and they are cowards pretending to be brave. One wonder whom they think they are fooling. Restless Heart of Darkness — Part Two | John C. Wright's Journal

They are who they always have been. They created the Klan as a strong arm for the Democratic party. In the name of greed they created then bastardized the union. Throw shame at others without seeing the shame they bring on themselves. Cry freedom while attacking others who do not share their view, school our children with their perversion with the idea that if there is enough perversion around them then it must be okay and they wont feel out of place. They are the Democratic party.
They are their own greatest fear realized.

I think the same could be said about conservatives.

Bertrand Russell's comment comes to mind about this situation: "I would never die for my beliefs because I might be wrong."

Correct, that's one of the weaknesses of the left that can be poked at. They all think they are special wonderful thinkers more empathic and wise than everyone else.

Todd meant to say:
"I *feel* the same could be said about conservatives."

"Progressives would rather die..."

Progressives would rather entire nations die.
