The fallacy being flogged by government drones and the legacy mediaabout companies not hiring new employees because it has been cold and snowy during the winter is beyond absurd, except to someone who lives in the cocoon of Washington D.C. or regurgitates words processed on a teleprompter by paid minions of the ruling class. Its not really about what they think or know, its not even about what they believe is true. Its about what they believe people will find plausible enough to stave off being accused of ruining the economy just a little longer.
The left really, honestly believes that their ideas are just great and any day now things will turn around and all those jobs will be back and they'll look like geniuses! Any day now.

I heard a talking head from Wall Street - who was on to discuss the spike in energy costs this winter - talk about how the weather has effected hiring. All I could think was that 'Things That Make You Go Hmmmm' (the online newsletter, not the song) has it totally right - everyone is holding on to whatever bullshit they can to fool themselves for as long as they can pull it off.

I agree with Dan. A huge amount of MSM b.s. is there just to provide comforting feedback. Many inside The Bubble have lost touch with reality and have escaped into fantasy.

Colder weather brings its own need for additional hires just as hot weather does. Hell, if global warming is the answer to more hiring, then they should be paying us to put freon in the air, burn wood and coal instead of NG, drive gas guzzlers, and dump the EPA.

I forced myself to sit down and watch some mainstream news the other night, don't know which alphabet soup channel it was, but the heavily made-up yappin cadaver just droned on and on about every scary thing you could imagine and after about 3 mins I just couldn't take it anymore.
Srsly, your mind has to be completely warped to willingly subject yourself to that stuff on a regular basis.
