We have become a delusional state

dependent upon fallacies to convince ourselves our foolhardy beliefs,
ludicrous economic policies, corrupt captured political system, and preposterously fraudulent financial system are actually based on sound logic and reason. Some fallacies have been perpetrated intentionally by the ruling class to manipulate, sway and deceive the populace, while others have been willfully employed by millions of techno-narcissistic iGadget addicted zombies as a substitute for thinking, reasoning and taking responsibility for the course of our nation. Your Say

We are just unlucky enough to be around for the flowering of trends that have been developing for decades. The e-gadgets just give people more ways to be foolish.

An excellent essay. Brings to mind what Jeff Immelt (G.E. CEO and former head of Obama's Jobs Council) said regarding the Communist Chinese regime, "The one thing that actually works, state run communism a bit– may not be your cup of tea, but their government works."
There is a lot of work to be done undoing the damage we have let happen. IF it's not too late. And all of us, every last one of us is to some degree complicit.
