Tain't Funny McGee

Vox Popoli: Hollywood's favorite monster -- Ronan Farrow adds on Twitter: "Missed the Woody Allen tribute - did they put the part where a woman publicly confirmed he molested her at age 7 before or after Annie Hall?" Woody Allen isn't funny. He's grotesque. He's ugly. He's a whiny little sexually obsessed monster. His films are tedious, unimaginative, and narcissistic. And he's a child molester. The fact that Hollywood sees in him a man worthy of receiving its tribute tells you all you need to know about that depraved Gomorrah.

Your Say

Hollywood needs someone to fill the shoes of Roman Polanski.

Someone get that guy a beer and put it on my tab!. It's well past time that people woke up to what woodie allen really is.

He's a disgusting little putz who thinks he's a lot smarter than he really is. And he's a kiddie diddler, probably since no human female older than eight would find him interesting.

I just never got the whole Woody Allen thing, and it's completely my fault.

Some of Woody Allen's films are pretty good (Bullets Over Broadway, for example) but nothing he's ever done has earned him the adoration and reverence that Hollywood gives the guy. Its never made sense to me.

His early movies gave me some laughs. I would just shrug whenever he'd insert one of his pseudo-profundities about sex and death because I figured he didn't really mean it. Then the whole thing collapsed when the Soon-Yi thing happened and I realized, 'My God, he DOES mean it!' I never watched one of his movies again, not even the early ones.
