Our post-modern dildocracy, with all its hedonism, cannot deny its misery.

Though degeneracy has always existed, what we are witnessing today is something quite different.
We are actually living in a culture that worships downfall. The music industry glorifies hedonism. Television glorifies hedonism. Advertisements glorify hedonism. The young and stupid easily fall influence, and we now have come to an age where high-school twerk teams are a reality. Where gender is a “choice.” Where nirvana has been replaced by drug use. Where we have sex before we ask names. Where poverty is culture. Where ancestry means nothing. Life Absurd | The Right Stuff

Your Say

As the blogger states: " When looked through the eyes of honor, tradition, love, compassion, loyalty and holiness, nothing is more crystal clear."

I am re-reading Norman Podhoretz. I appreciate his discussion of the "beat generation" and his statement "that he shouldered the burden of challenging the regnant leftist culture that pollutes the spiritual and cultural air we all breath ... with all my heart and all my soul and all my might."

It has always been this way. That YHWH dude had to keep coming back and doing more smoting, seems like even the good guys just kept falling back into iniquity.

The only way people really learn is if they keep getting hit with a great big clue bat. Big enough that you either wise up fast, or perish from it.

They ought to call those ancient texts with the fancy names, "The Clue Bat Chronicles". I reckon the deific shillelagh is even now being taken from its resting place and some practice lay abouts are underway.

One of the things Nietzsche meant by the “death of God,” was that the dream of self-control, control over one’s appetites, was dead. Instead of Plato’s universe (and the universe of the other philosophers until modern times), we live in Wilde’s universe: "The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it... I can resist everything but temptation”

Our age submits to self-indulgence as a Moslem submits to Allah. Even the dream of self-control has disappeared.

When a society is on its way up it admires and wants to emulate the upper class.

When a society is on its way down it admires and wants to emulate the lower class.

You know what direction we are headed.

A terrible example of this is the local MLK Jr. Day parade (coming soon), where high school bands will march with their twerking teams preceding them.
