Nice Little Town You Got. Wouldn't Want Any Traffic to Happen to It

You always suspected that inside Chris Christie was a fat asshole wanting to get out. Now you know: Top Christie aide to Port Authority: 'Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee' - NorthJersey.com
“Time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee,” Bridget Anne Kelly, one of three deputies on Christie’s senior staff, wrote to David Wildstein, a top Christie executive at the Port Authority, on Aug. 13, about three weeks before the closures. Wildstein, the official who ordered the closures and who resigned last month amid the escalating scandal, wrote back: “Got it.”

Your Say

A politician doesn't need to be fat to be an asshole.

And....

All assholes aren't politicians but all politicians are assholes.

So all Christie proved is that he has a strategy, but no principles.

I just don't know. Christie is already the Media pick for The Republican Who Loses In 2016.

The science is settled!

Morbid obesity with little weight loss from gastric banding procedure does tell us something about an addictive over indulgent personality.

@TmjUtah, good one.

I say we hurry up and nominate him. Some Democrats like him, and that guarantees kid-glove treatment from the media. If you don't believe me, ask John McCain.

No, you have it backwards. CC must be taken out now, because he has proven he can win over everybody except the truly committed. He wins above the margin of fraud in deep leftoid states.

CNN flogged this endlessly today, and will for many days to come. Nice to know that all other problems in this Republic have been solved, so that the airwaves have to be filled with analysis of ordinary and unremarkable Jersey political traditions.

No, the first string has to be removed now. That way the leftoid media useful idiots, bootlickers, and fellow travelers can pick the Most LIkely Loser from the GOP second string, and then build him up to be the Worthy Opponent to the Drunken Hag or a draft pick to be named later. That takes time, so CC has to go now.

The long-term project is of course Scott Walker of Wisconsin. If that dude and all his minions aren't always and a half squeaky clean paragons of unflagging rectitude, they'll be rectumed all right. And if the media rats can't find the real deal, they'll just go all Palin on his *** and just make **** up and spew it endlessly. There must be a Flying Spaghetti Monster, because every day there going to be spaghetti (and worse) flung at his political wall. Something has to stick, right? And if nothing does, the mess at least can still be blamed on SW.

I find Christie to be as loathsome as the next guy, but really, what's the problem here? That he used the apparatus of government to screw over a political opponent? To me, that says 'finally, a GOPer with some balls!'

Obama used the goddamn IRS to go after the Tea Party, and we're going to throw Krispy's fat ass out the door because, for once, he acted like Democrats do EVERY DAMN DAY? As far as I'm concerned, he should hold a press conference and say, "Yeah, I made their lives hell. That's how you play politics. And if you don't like it, go cry to your dog-eating crackhead boyfriend in the White House."

If Christie hangs on, he's going to need a new bunch of individuals to fall on the sword of purity.

Like the Clintons before him, if he can ride this out and survive he will have proved his mettle and will emerge politically stronger.

Posted by: BillH at January 9, 2014 7:11 AM

Either he's toast, or he'll outmaneuver the Clintons.

Posted by: Fausta at January 9, 2014 8:21 AM

ChrisinMA he didn't screw over a political opponent, he screwed over the citizens that were driving that day. The political opponent suffered very little over this.

I find it amusing (in a not-funny way) that this is all over the news channels, unlike the Internal Revenue Service being used against citizens - something I would consider more important to the future of our country.
