Marijuana Overdoses Kill 37 in Colorado On First Day of Legalization

"It's complete chaos here," says Dr. Jack Shepard, chief of surgery at St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver.
"I've put five college students in body bags since breakfast and more are arriving every minute. "We are seeing cardiac arrests, hypospadias, acquired trimethylaminuria and multiple organ failures. By next week the death toll could go as high as 200, maybe 300. Someone needs to step in and stop this madness. My god, why did we legalize marijuana? What were we thinking?" - The Daily Currant

Your Say

If this actually happened, how much coverage do you think it would get in the news?

I think it would get a lot of coverage, the drug war is a for profit government run program and it needs funding.

In my salad days, when I was yet green, I tried on many occasions to od on boo. Tried as I might I always failed and just wound up making and eating a tray of fudge brownies, which is how I became the man I am today.

Hollywood has been hurting for new ideas, so most of what they do these days is remakes. I'm waiting to see who will do a remake of Refer Madness. And maybe a sequel!

Soon, the death dispensers of government will see the simple economical logic of giving everyone the drug he wants, show up at his door, administer the final USDA grade A dose and end the war on drugs with a final solution.

What a way to go.

Hypospadias wouldn't be so bad if you wanted your penis opening moved to, say, the tip of your nose.

Rocky Mountain News shut it's doors in Feb. 2009
It was way better than the Denver Post.

If you think this is bad, wait until you see the body count when they legalize global warming.

Only one news source that I could find reported a story about a 3 year old testing positive for marijuana in a hospital yesterday. If the government was using the press to promote its global war on drugs you'd think that would be front page news everywhere. If the press, however, is generally in favor of legalized pot, it would be difficult to find, if not unheard of.

So again I ask: if this really happened, how much coverage do you think it would get? Very little.
