I'm pretty sure we still have a volunteer military. Only males are registered for the draft. Females don't want to go to war, then don't join. It's on them and their families.

The wierd thing is that the same people pushing for women in combat are the ones who say that the military is fascist and hyper masculine and that war is always evil and should be avoided. But let women fight too!

Now, I know that part of this is the idea that if girls are in the line of fire, people will be less likely to want war to begin with, but a lot of it is just flat out compartmentalization and lack of logic. They just don't make the connection any more than the people who want all smoking of tobacco banned and pot legalized.

Just as the Marine Corps this week delayed the physical requirements for females doing three pull ups for another year.

I guess to study why females aren't as physically adept as males are. Can't wait till they open up Special Ops for them. . . .just to be equal.

Decline and failure is the Leftist agenda. Next they will demonstrate their sexism by demanding women be measured by lower standards than men.

First they demand 'fairness', then they demand 'more sophisticated standards', then they demand a govt solution to 'fix' their first 2 demands.

For those who point out that the military is volunteer, you are missing the point. Due to pressure from misguided feminists, the naive young women who join the military are being told that they can perform just as well as men in demanding combat positions. Even though the majority cannot meet the minimum physical requirements. These poor women are being brainwashed by the PC crowd into believing they won't be endangering themselves and their fellow soldiers by their lack of physical abilities to meet the demands of combat conditions. Apparently to admit men and women are different and men are more well-suited to some jobs is so abhorrent to the PC crowd that they would rather see young women disproportionately maimed and killed.

The military is all voluntary for women. For men, Selective Service registration for possible UNVOLUNTARY draft is mandatory from age 18 through 25. What are the chances of a draft, more when the military is in steady decline and POTUS believes the military is USAID with night vision goggles.

Remember the guy with the bullhorn at Ground Zero. He ran on "no more nation-building" and promptly set about 2 of the most pointless nation-building exercises to date. Now our messiah-in-chief, and his State Dept, think our military can be used anywhere, for any reason, including arming al Qaeda in Libya or Syria.

Women bare the next generation and are necessary for a society to survive. A culture that sends its women into combat is committing suicide, but probably shouldn't survive anyway.

Exactly. Anyone who has seen Soviet-era Russian women knows what the deal is. Social engineering does have it's consequences. I have no desire to see that repeated here. This is an exercise to handicap our troops, and everyone knows it.

Then let them meet those physical requirements and not lower the standards. Women excel in nursing and have a long tradition in the military in nursing. The physical demands are high but such that most women could meet them. Women are good in administrative positions and have a long history in those jobs in the military and generally those people are not used in combat so let women fill those positions. Experience with women in the military shows us they can do as well as men in many of the traditionally "non-combat" positions. However once in a combat zone these positions are often tapped for combat duties and women do not excel and do not do well in combat. For this reason women should probably not be allowed into positions that might be used in a combat role. Combat can and will devolve into rigourous physical challenges and even physical combat. Putting women into that kind of situation is tantamount to intentionally sabotaging our military.

This isn't a situation of just equality and indifference. The weak link of a chain in the mail sorting line just slows things down. In combat, men die if someone cannot hack and has to be protected and pulled along. If they cannot do the job THEY MUST NOT BE THERE.

Being voluntary or not is irrelevant, this is the military and it is an entirely different situation.

Well, as a woman I can say honestly and humbly that I am SO grateful for the men who are willing to do what it takes, even to die, to protect this nation and all of its citizens. Thank God for men with enough testosterone, character and clarity of thought to do the job. As a woman, I am happy to back them with any effort to support them and make their lives easier and more meaningful in whatever way I can. Raising kids, working at home or in the workforce, voting, carrying my load and his (when possible), I'm ever conscious and deeply appreciative of real men. We women would NEVER survive without you.

Now having said that, I must add that our beautiful, feminine (not feminist) daughter can easily do 3 pull-ups and with her black belt could probably whip half the candy ass metrosexuals in NYC.

This decision, and all the other ones, are being made by people who despise you and all you stand for. This is an Atheist Progressive jihad, nothing less. The purpose is to rub in your faces each and every capitulation you make to them by upping the ante the next time. Teach gay porn in schools? Sure.
