Why did the MSNBC panel feel free…

…to mock the Romneys for having a black grandchild?
The main reason: their audience is so tiny and leftophile that the panel members forgot they were on TV and thought they were talking amongst themselves. Although they’ve now issued apologies and semi-apologies, it probably wasn’t until liberal CNN criticized them that they realized they might have done anything that could be considered even the least bit objectionable. -- neo-neocon
[Reason #2: They are assholes who need to be horsewhipped in the public square and have their backs washed down with salt water.]

Your Say

They feel free to be racist (etc) because they know that ultimately, for those on the left like themselves, there are no REAL consequences.
If they publicly embarrass their network/newspaper/magazine etc too many times, they may be fired (very very rarely), but they will be paid to be a leftist mouthpiece by someone else almost immediately.

This is true, of course. But its not just the size of their audience, they are the kind that eats, sleeps, breathes, and lives every moment with people who agree completely with them and cannot even begin to conceive of anyone who might disagree with them unless they are radical extremist insane homophobe freaks in some small town burning crosses and marrying their sisters.

Its a hideous confluence of calumny, arrogance, isolation, and ignorance. They just don't know any better to realize how hateful and hypocritical they are.

Reason #2 works for me.

I think CNN has less viewers than MSNBC.

Actually some puréed jalapenos would be better but it would be as shame to waste good peppers on these mooks so salt water it is.

Well, you can eat the jalapeno's, then piss on the backs.

A great injury has been done to the child, and this injury is deserving of mockery. The child has been adopted by white, American, Mormons to be raised apart from its natural Black heritage and be forever alienated from its Black culture. The child will be cursed with "acting white." Worse, the child is being raised by people who love liberty, capitalism, and America. This makes the child a candidate for the coming Gulag. And still worse, the child is being raised as a Mormon, the most contemptible of flying spaghetti monster delusions because it is American.

Well, that's what they think. I think the opposite.

They were stupid. They were insulting. But none of these "comedians" were funny. At all. Do any of them actually make a living in their alleged craft?

They must, Harry. Or live off their parents, significant other or whatever. I doubt any of them could flip a burger well enough to earn minimum wage.

Angela Merkel, like Joe Wilson, was right.
