What makes Vladimir Putin "succeed at everything he does"?

The fact that the former KGB man now "seems to be succeeding at everything he does"
has nothing to do with conservatism. No, it is wholly a result of the fact that the US now has the probably weakest and most incompetent president ever. With a strong leader in charge in the US, Putin would never have been able assert himself. And the weakness of the other western "leaders", Hollande, Cameron and Merkel above all, is making it even easier for Putin to "succeed." - - The New Nostradamus of the North

Your Say

What makes Vladimir Putin "succeed at everything he does"? Cajones, physical and mental. Outlawed by mutual agreement in U.S. and european political circles.

I can't see that Putin has done anything at all that concerns the U.S. Among all the bad things, one great thing about a failing U.S. is that the armchair geopolitics crowd is beside itself. It is harder and harder for the U.S. to meddle in every damned thing, and that capability will continue to decline. It is sweet indeed to see John McCain frustrated at every turn.

A leader is a direct reflection of what/who he represents.

The mutant, supremely intelligent Barry has never confronted conflict or made a fist.

a boy in a man's body, being directed by those who have no respect for him or the U.S.

I bet Putin respects Phil Robertson more than he does Obama.

He gets by with a little help from his friends. "After the election, I'll be more flex..."

I bet the only time Putin bows is before he takes down an opponent in a Judo match.

Succded at everything my hind end. He's not lucky or clever, he's brutal and ruthless. He murders political opponents, that's not success. Its just tyranny.

And he's not half the tough guy he tries so earnestly and desperately to portray himself as.

It is the US media that is desperately portraying him that way.

Well, they're doing their part but releasing a constant stream of pictures of himself without a shirt doing manly things and posing in manly places is not by accident.
