Obama’s America: Land Of The Twee, Home Of The Fey

aapantywaist.jpg

Can you look at that swaddled manlet for more than two seconds without laughing? I could carve a better man out of a banana.
If Obama’s supporters and media messengers are all mental and sexual onesies — and evidence accrues that that is indeed the case — then these ad creators would have no clue that they’re broadcasting prime mockery material to their enemies. It’s hard to believe that could be true, what with all those 130 IQ neoCalvinists comprising the Obama cult machine, but accelerated social sorting by ideology can easily blind a person to how they’re perceived by those not like him. | Chateau Heartiste

Your Say

Commielibs control media because conservatives retreat from any non-conservative venue. The commielibs need never worry about our mockery because our contempt has no real world consequences.

We are the ones always on patrol for the approval of The Left. We then project that onto them and conclude if we ridicule them they will change. They won't. Now if there was a slight possibility that an angry mob of conservatives would show up on somebody's lawn to say "hi" to the family of some decision-maker they MIGHT care what we think.

Yes, he be a manlet and he be swaddled even though he doth not walk but waddle.

There is absolutely nothing Calvinist with Obamacare or its supporters, neo- or not. Where the hell did that come from?

I think he means Calvin and Hobbes.

Still not really following what he means, even with that definition.

Every time I see this photo or any of the well-deserved parodies, I feel grateful that somehow, with all of the mistakes I made as a parent, that my children (son and daughter), now independent adults, would never allow themselves to live as emotionally retarded "swaddled manlets" (or girlets).

The neo-Calvinists: substitute Obama for Christ, substitute government bennies for grace, and conservatives and libertarians for those chosen/predestined by government=God to be punished. That should be good enough for a start. You want more, I'll give you more.

So what you're saying is that if you redefine everything about Calvinism to its opposite and bastardize the entire concept, it starts to make sense?

Gotcha.

OK. "Neo"-anything I understand to be an appellation applied to a group of people who, over the course of time and the clarity of events and consequences, modified their beliefs and doctrines such that they have converged with, they look and sound like, another group (which may be either long-standing or defunct). The neo's have not traditionally been associated with the long-standing group.

There is another, more fanciful use of the neo-adjective, and it applies to a group "A" that exhibits many of the mannerisms of group "B", but for different reasons. For example, the older term from 25 years ago, "urban cowboy", today they might be called "neo-cowboys". I took this term "neo-Calvinist" to be of this second type, where the form is analogous but the content is distinct.

So I accede to your point. The Usurper and his minions are nothing in content like Calvinists then or now. However, for purposes of analysis, it might be of value to consider leftie-ism as it expresses itself today, as exhibiting the forms of a religion, with the central substitution of Government for God. And is there then a religious doctrine that is closely analogous? The dude claimed Calvinism, and I can see the similarities, but I couldn't say whether Puritanism or Lutheranism or ??? would be even better.

Do you suffer from KIDNEY DISEASE? Do you know that, according to latest researches, DIALYSIS IS NOT NECESSARY? A friend of mine got off dialysis (stage 5 CKD) and healed his kidney. Take a look:
