The Democrats are winning the culture war because they’re fighting dirty.

Its not that they fought dirty, its that they fought at all. We ceded the culture to the left, and that's what controls people inside. Popular culture shapes worldviews for those who have nothing else to do so like religion or strong convictions.
ie: the majority of people.
