California. The ne plus ultra example of stark, raving fubar civic insanity. And it's the voters I'm talking about.

There isn't a person with an ounce of common sense, in California, who believes that train will ever be built. It's all just a turbocharged super mega ultra corruption boondoggle, a way to take money from the insane voters and party like it's forever.

It's no different than all those giant ghost cities out in the Chinese deserts. Except instead of construction workers, it's just keeping lots of Sacraspendo parasites employed. If a body politic insists on and keeps doing insane ****, well, they're going to earn a future all right.

Congratulations California.

Most stunning thing about this news is there actually exists a member of California's judiciary who means to hold these miscreants to letter of the law. They can't comply with terms in stupid proposition, so he's shutting them down until they can, which is never. That was also why Jerry Brown tried to get special environmental waivers in place to allow this "Brown"-doggle (John and Ken's word) to proceed. Too bad there's not some way to prevent them from spending one dime more of taxpayer money. As John above says, some rats will still manage to fatten themselves, but fewer than otherwise now.
