It's De Blasio Time
De Blasio New York is a place where the mayor gives constant press conferences about gang violence and announces new rape prevention programs. Every news story about the city now begins with, "Four people were shot in New York over the weekend" and "A fire swept out of control through Brooklyn destroying four city blocks. Police suspect arson." But that's cool. Who needs those stupid corporations anyway when Occupy Wall Street has a dozen encampments. A lot of those encampments are really homeless tent cities. I can say this about De Blasio: unlike with "Republican" Bloomberg, there's no pretense here, voters knew exactly what they were getting. So now they're stuck with their prize. Hope they enjoy it.

Meanwhile, like rats fleeing a plague ship, workers and corporations are fleeing Blue State areas -due to a bad economic environment - and the reddest of red states are getting bluer by the minute as the brainless contagion spreads out from the those plague areas and drags the healthier US economies down into the sewers among the other blue-model areas.
But these leftards would rather believe an 'expert' than their own eyes.

DeBlasio understood what the other candidates did not: New York is a minority white city. Most people living there are not white, and he pandered to them for the win.
The Republican was a non-issue, no Republican is going to win another major, significant election again in America. If the Democrats target an election, they get the win by whatever means they need to use.

I don't think it's as bad as all that folks. Even the dumbest liberal has to understand that if the crime rate soars back to the Dinkins era level they'll be toast. BTW moving to San Francisco won't work. They can't even keep the escalators in the subway working because the powers that be can't keep "The Homeless" from defecating in the works.

The dumbest liberals have proven they can remain dumb longer than most countries or cities can remain inhabitable. They are not above inviting the barbarians in to ravage the place if they see they can't keep control of the operation. "Better dead than not-Red." Obama was elected AFTER Jimmuh Carter.
