"I know there is a hardcore segment of our population that is still gaga over Barack Obama, but is anyone actually buying this swill?"

I can’t believe Barack Obama and His inner circle meet behind closed doors,
go through all their shrewd calculations about what spin will & won’t work, and with all their P.R. talents come to the conclusion that the most winning strategy available to them is: Obama goes out and says “I had no idea this was going on…”…again…for the fifty-seven billionth time or whatever. It must be something far more primitive. Like a gag reflex. House of Eratosthenes

Your Say

I have a friend, good friend and I can't believe he is this way. He likes Obama, he wanted Hilary, well he said "we like" meaning his wife and him. His son volunteered for Obama.
He voted for Bush in 2000 but not 2004.

I blame his vegetarian diet.

"...Like a gag reflex." We need to have Gagdad Bob look into this.

You need to get out more. You have no idea how dumb this country has become in the last 50 years.

I don't think they have to meet at all, its just their basic response. Bad thing happens, President Obama shows up and pretends he's Joe average. Nobody is more angry than him. He had no idea. That's not the (insert name here) he knew.

It doesn't bother me so much they trot that out, it bothers me that it works.

It is the Big Lie. Repeat it over and over, and they shall believe. Nothing new, except maybe the cynicism with which it is deployed. "If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep it. Period."
