Dear American commenters at HotAir: Bragging about how stupid you are is not attractive

Canada — our taxes are lower. Our unemployment rate is too.
Fewer business-killing regulations. Because we have “loser pays” — you are the only nation that doesn’t — we have FAR fewer zillion dollar crazy lawsuits over trivialities. We ingeniously decided not to give free mortgages to welfare bums, so our housing and banking systems are relatively sound. And luckily, Canada is too cold for cotton.... by Kathy Shaidle @ Five Feet of Fury

Your Say

Well, them Canucks have Gordon Lightfoot, Stompin' Tom, a whole bunch of other famous people. Burton Cummings, Anne Murray, Steven Leacock, oh the list is endless.

One point in common: we both give allegiance to a queen.

After I got out of the Army I lived and worked around Toronto. I'll say this about Canadians, they are very nice people and I like their food.

Canada, less socialist than the United States.

We both have crack smokin' mayors.

I forgot, they have a rodent for a national animal. Oh, and 10% of the people demanded and attained 50% of the language. Bilingual by law. Takes a half hour to read a soup can label, all this and that like tasses and chaud ...

By the Jeez, them Frenchies, they forgot about The Plains of Abraham.

And crazy as it might sound...we can get Mare's leg rifles with 12" barrels and shotguns with 8.5" barrels...always have to look at what firearms are available in your scan of a countries policies.

Brian: gentle roasting. I enjoyed my time in the Great White North. I worked for a time at CN/VIA rail, fixin' them locomotives for the Transcontinental. Never got the chance, ride one from the Peg out to the coast. Spent some time in the Big Nickel. If I need to bug out it's North I'll go.

I seem to remember some kerfuffle with the National Firearms Registry but I left before all that got sticky.
