[Bumped] Dem Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee Says “Martial Law” Is Needed To Reopen The Government…

You may think "Nobody in Congress can be this stupid," but then you see this cretin slobbering into her drool cup and....

No surprise.
Take away the teleprompter, and barry is no different.

Not just stupid. Depraved. Evil. And that goes for all the people who vote for her.

Posted by: pst314 at October 10, 2013 3:28 PM

You guys are all missing the point horribly.

Western civilization, Caucasian civilization, is based on our ability to understand and manipulate the physical universe. We are skilled at it, more skilled than blacks. Many of the orientals share our skills, or have similar ones. I firmly believe the tendency to have those mental skills is genetic.

Blacks are different. NOT worse. Different. I firmly believe they are "naturals" at understanding and manipulating politics and people.

This woman is stupid at our skills, but, so sorry, you are stupid at politics. "Republicans, they thirst for death" - Ace of Spades, I think, but whoever said it, they were quite right.

Make no mistake, martial law is coming.

President Lincoln did it, and he also suspended habeus corpus. So there is a precedent.

They are waiting for the appropriate disaster scenario, whether it is a maniac with guns, or some other crisis/excuse.

Obama is far from stupid. Underestimate him at your own risk. If he decides to declare martial law, and round up and hold his enemies indefinitely, who will stop him?

The military is already cowed, witness the Petraeus affair. The general staff will go along with the Commander-in-Chief. Fire on Americans? No problem. President Wilson had machinegunners set up to stop the veterans' protest marches. If he had not had a minor stroke, he would have set another precedent.

Finally, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court has already been turned: John Roberts was arguing forcefully to declare Obamacare unconstitutional, right up until the last day — and on the last day, he flipped. They got to him, that's all. They either offered him something he craved, or they found something on him like they found on Petraeus. As Stalin said, "Name the man, and I will find the crime."

So we no longer have the military to protect us from despotism, and now the highest court in the land is owned by Obama.

What's to stop him?

Smokey, it is better to die standing than to live on your knees. Do not stray from the path, no matter the obstacle. Pray for America.

Posted by: Roger Drew Williams at October 10, 2013 8:25 PM

Smokey, I agree with your points. The military will roll over and claim Nuremburg Defense rather than risk losing a promotion or being disciplined. Individually they declare with righteous indignation that they would never ever obey an illegal order. The point I draw attention to is how honorable loyal obedient capable soldiers (or LE) can be bent to the will of an immoral chain of command that willfully disregards the Constitution.

Everybody looks at the Oath soldiers take "I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." But the part about defending the Constitution is skipped over and the obedience to the POTUS etc is highlighted.

So National Guard soldiers in Katrina kicked down doors and confiscated firearms. They were obeying the orders of their superiors. Guns walked across the borders and nobody said "hey, this ain't right". They just did what their superiors told them to do. Benghazi and some other military ops went down and nobody stood up and said "uh uh, not good, guys will get killed" Even the good loyal brave soldiers of Germany in WWII fought the good fight. Got their feet froze off in Russia or got brewed up in a Panzer in Africa, obeyed orders just fine. Nobody stopped to ask, "we're fighting, doing this stuff for a leader that shoves people into ovens? That don't seem right". Our current POTUS is straying from the path of moral and legal and honorable action and I do not see anybody standing up to it.

OK, rant off. Soapbox removed.

Ah, this is the very same woman who several years ago asked why Americans can put men on Mars but can't cure poverty. She really is that stupid. There are others who are even stupider. Maxine, for example. Stupidity is their only virtue. Be grateful.

Lee also was believed by congressional staff to be the most obnoxious employer on the Hill.

Fred, now Fred...
You never do come out & state it, but you appear to be inferring it; that this idiot woman is a "natural at politics and human manipulation".
In one line you state the generality; "blacks are..." and so by inference you seem to be including her. In the next line you state how she's "stupid at our skills..." so by inference you seem to be saying that she must therefore be great at other skills.
How on earth do you conclude that this poster person for a) affirmative action, b) the outcome of gerrymandering, and c) the power of the electoral incumbent over the challenger, is some kind of genius at "understanding and manipulating people". Sheep don't count as people.

James - But Cynthia McKinney is far and away the all time champ. She will never be surpassed.

Posted by: BillH at October 11, 2013 9:51 AM

Roscoe, a wink is as good as a nod, but for you I'll state it bluntly and directly. She is very skilled at politics and manipulation. Of her own voters and all liberals.

I wouldn't trust her to be able to know one end of a hammer from another. I sure as hell do trust her for setting up affirmative action cons, gerrymandering districts and cheating political opponents and voters.

"James - But Cynthia McKinney is far and away the all time champ. She will never be surpassed."

I haven't forgotten the contributions of Cynthia, which were legendary. The competition is intense after all but alas, she was redistricted out.

It says something about how robust the system the founding fathers gave us that its surviving this so far. Without that system, I honestly believe we would already be in a dictatorship.

And while I think a lot of the officers will follow orders, I question how many troops will.

The time is fast approaching when the host must throw off the parasites or succumb. While 80% of the population is parasitic, you may have enough ammo but you cannot pull the trigger fast enough to prevail. Running backwards while shooting must be your life saving skill. Or seek refuge, somewhere.

I'm not quite so sure that the military is cowed.

Yes--on one hand, David Petraeus was purged. They could have overlooked all that he did and none of us would have been any the wiser. That said, he--a married 4-star general officer and a West Point grad--was caught diddling an underling (who was also married and an officer and a West Point grad) and so they both should have known better.

However, Zero had wanted more out of our military in Syria and didn't get it. I think that the military said "we aren't going" in 2012, before the public questioned our purpose in Syria in 2013. Also, I think they're underestimating the damage their "Barry-cades" at Veteran's Memorials and refusals to pay death benefits have done to morale and unquestioning obedience.

It's been many years since my service, but a wise old colonel once told me, "It doesn't matter what the General or the Colonel or the Captain wants to do. If you can't convince the Master Sergeant of the wisdom of a course of action, it ain't happening."

Posted by: azlibertarian at October 12, 2013 8:43 AM

Christopher Taylor said "And while I think a lot of the officers will follow orders, I question how many troops will."

Just a few items above this one, there was a bit about how the colonels may want to do something but if it doesn't fly with the master sergeant it doesn't happen. That applies here....

I see now that azlibertarian beat me to that!

She got her start at YALE...
She got elected to Houston city council...
Immediately on re-election to her final council term she filed for CONgress, against a feckless jackass who rarely even showed up to cast a vote (he too was of the clan with a tan)...
She will die in that comfortable chair...and her hubby/male consort enjoys a fine sinecure at U of H courtesy his relationship with this creature.
Her spawn made one effort at election to a local college dist board...unsuccessfully but the beat goes on.

Agree on the Master Sergeant angle. When their highly-acute BS sensors go off, senior NCOs (and Chief Petty Officers, their naval counterparts) are excellent at looking like they're complying with objectionable orders, but can slow-roll things until common sense returns. My guess is, if push comes to shove, we'll see a lot of E-7s and higher reporting to their commanders, "sorry, sir, the 'insurgents' (or whatever) just weren't where the S-2 said they were. But we'll be ready to go again once I get our three deadlined vehicles repaired and some better intel". Repeat as needed.

Posted by: waltj at October 13, 2013 6:10 AM

Yes Walt, any reaction to BS policy has to be bottom-up, not top-down. The guys with boots on the ground are the prime movers.
