For a man making such a small, insignificant gesture

Ted Cruz certainly got a large amount of notice from the Obamadrones and their little Rovian Republican helpers. A [very] small sampling:

Your Say

Cruz has certainly em-Palined himself, and as with Sarah he will move from the short leash to the neutered. Let the people have their spokesperson so they feel like they've been represented, they fought the good fight, did all they could do.

Think: the protester in Tianamen Square. Efforts noble, sentiments high, results none. Time may not heal all wounds but it certainly ameliorates them.

Mr V

Your placement of the Network scene opposite this revelation of the UniParty attack on Cruz is art

And he shall Atone

Ohio Dude, that's exactly what I thought before I read your comment. Somehow I don't think Cruz will be neutered either. That is one strong man. He comes from good stock.

I can't help but draw a comparison to Palin and her fate. She was too strong and spoke her mind. She made waves, so to speak. That is unacceptable to Leviathan, both donkeys and elephants. There's not much that Cruz can do without the Repub machine backing him. The game is rigged, don't you see?

Fifteen minutes of fame and he doesn't even have Alaska to move back to.

Ms Magnolia

Agreed; I was appending the voice of Ned Beatty to the dickless, spineless, ethically unencumbered RINOP bureaucrats ... Turkey Wattle McConnel, Blubberboy Boehner, et al

Cruz is the New Emmanuel Goldstein, and I think he wears their invective as a cloak-of-honor.

This is not a dig at Palin, but Cruz is exponentially more intelligent than her and won't be just thrown away.

He is way too smart, young and hungry for the establishment repubs and dems, and they hate him for it.

Cruz is being used by establishment Repubs to sooth their constituencies. See? We got a guy that will stand up to the Dems, fight for what's right, fix all the injustices, so forth. He will not be allowed any real power mainly because some of the wrong-doing was with and by Repubs. He would not be in their best interests. He serves, in the same way Palin did, as some bread thrown over the balcony to the peasants so they will think/feel that their cause is being furthered.

Please excuse my clumsy writing; I am not articulate enough to sufficiently express my thoughts on this. Palin was a great light show. She galvanized the Conservatives that were fed up with Liberal rule, stood up and drew the ire of Leviathan, motivated the Tea Party, did a lot of things. Then, she got the boom lowered on her. Whatever was done to her, she pulled back and lost any real power/influence. So it seems to be with Cruz.

Do we really think he will be the knight in shining armor that slays the Leviathan dragon? The future of our country will not be settled with the ballot box. I am afraid that more drastic measures must be taken. That's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it.

Sound and fury, amounting to nothing.

They will not be denied.
