America in 2013 is a similarly special case: another weakened empire telling itself stories of its exceptionalism while it drifts towards apocalypse of some sort, fiscal or epidemiological, climatic-environmental or thermonuclear.

Our far left may hate religion and think we coddle Israel, our far rightmay hate illegal immigrants and think we coddle black people,
and nobody may know how the economy issupposed to work now that markets have gone global, but the actual substance of our daily lives is total distraction. We can't face the real problems; we spent a trillion dollars not really solving a problem in Iraq thatwasn't really a problem; we can't even agree on how to keep healthcare costs from devouring the GNP. Your Say

Yeah that Hussein guy training, financing, and harboring terrorists while continuously violating a cease fire agreement, brutalizing his own people, and making background deals for arms so he could threaten nearby nations. No problem there to be dealt with.

Fool.

As a member of the far Right, I'd just like to point out that we don't hate illegal immigrants. We merely wish them to return to their own countries, there to prosper.

As for blacks, we don't hold that the federal government coddles them. Instead, we recognize that the disingenuous white liberals who hold power in our civilization use the power of the Federal purse and pen ostensibly for the benefit of women, blacks, and those who are non-white, non-Christian, and sexually abnormal.

There's no hatred for anyone on the far right. Most of us are Christians, and as such are not allowed to hate other people. We do hate communism, liberalism, democracy, feminism, irreligion, sexual perversion, and multiculturalism, but these are immaterial things, not human beings.

We of the Right are not anti-Anybody. We are pro-Us.

If Kraus came back from the dead, he’d kick Franzen’s silly ass.
