What should we call it? A fish dog? A hot fish? Either way, in Japan, you can buy an ayu fish served in a long bun. You're supposed to eat the entire thing from head to tail. Care for a Fish Hot Dog? - Neatorama

Also known as sweetfish. According to Wiki, 'Ayu is an edible fish, mostly consumed in East Asia. Its flesh has a distinctive, sweet flavour with "melon and cucumber aromas".'

Go figure.

LS - When I sense a melonish cucumber aroma, or even a cucumberish melon aroma, I'm reminded of something far afield from a fish.

The same three rules I use for pizza also apply to anything that comes on (or in) a bun:

1: No Fish.
2: No Fruit (exception: tomatoes).
3: No Fungus.
