"It remains baffling how anyone would think that Hillary Clinton is our party’s best chance."

Prunt of the Month: Maybe booze will get her.

She has more sooty baggage than a 90-car freight train. And what exactly has she ever accomplished — beyond bullishly covering for her philandering husband?
She’s certainly busy, busy and ever on the move — with the tunnel-vision workaholism of someone trying to blot out uncomfortable private thoughts.... As far as I’m concerned, Hillary disqualified herself for the presidency in that fist-pounding moment at a congressional hearing when she said, “What difference does it make what we knew and when we knew it, Senator?” Democrats have got to shake off the Clinton albatross and find new blood. Your Say

"Our party" is all I really need to hear from Paglia. So she has Hillary's number, big deal. Did she not also have Obama's number? And who did she vote for in 2012?

Why should they have someone else? She'll win. Like Rodrigo says, it doesn't even matter who they run, the Democrats will lock step behind them and pull that lever like a good obedient slave. They can run the bones of Josef Mengele and win the white house now. Its a machine, not a candidate, the president is just the face in the front who gets the biggest bennies.

O My people! Their oppressors are children,
And women rule over them.
O My people! Those who guide you lead you astray
And confuse the direction of your paths.

Christopher Taylor... The republican voters didn't get lock step and pull that lever like a good obedient slave for McCain and for Romney? Doesn't matter who the parties run, the slaves of the parties will vote for who they are told to vote for. You know, because if they don't the other side will win, so march lock step with your masters.

"Christopher Taylor... The republican voters didn't get lock step and pull that lever like a good obedient slave for McCain and for Romney?"

Nope. Lots of crossover to Obama and lots of people saying "these both suck" and voting for neither. I'm sure you're aware of this.

That is good Christopher, but if you make statements limiting the problems of government to only one party, you are missing half the problems.

Posted by: Potsie at August 22, 2013 7:15 AM

Potsie: yes, both parties suck. But the Democrats have the better machine, period. The Republicans are schmucks.

Those of us who voted for McCain and Romney had to stay our gag reflex to do so. Democrat slaves have no gag reflex, so they will vote for anyone on their ticket regardless. I mean, they can't even smell shit when they step in it. That is the difference -- FWIW.

"if you make statements limiting the problems of government to only one party, you are missing half the problems."

Well get back to me when that happens and we'll talk. Meanwhile, it doesn't matter who Democrats run, they'll get the votes no matter who or what they are. You know that, I know that, even they know that. They'll vote for anyone who isn't the Republican.

Mrs. Clinton looks a lot like George Soros, huh. Damn, I wish I could draw.

Posted by: DHH at August 22, 2013 12:33 PM

Don, The voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil... and stupid.

Christopher, the republicans will vote for whatever candidate is put on the ballot, they will vote for anyone who isn't the democrat.

Please don't tell me you value limited government, and more freedom and then say you voted against those values because the other candidate was worse. That is foolish.
