Yeah um, I hate to say it but part of me - and I think part of nearly everyone in America - suspects this, justified or not. That's where our leadership has gotten us over the years. We can't trust them, not any of them.

No. You are not. It was my first and still current reaction to the news. Especially since the critical period appears to have passed with no events ... er ... eventuating.

Close second is that this is Al Quaeda jerking Obama's chain, knowing, as they must, how eminently jerkable it is.
