Voting the bums out is a failed strategy.

The Recipe | Tenth Amendment Center Dedicate your 1 hour per week to following Madison’s advice. You could work to advance legislation in your state, county, city or town that would, by law, require a “refusal to cooperate with officers of the Union” on a specific issue – as Madison advised. Stop pouring your time and money into the siren song of federal election campaigns. Voting the bums out is a failed strategy.

Your Say

Exactly. You can throw out the guys from your state over and over if you want; if you can do that each election then they aren't the problem. The ones that are the problem in Washington are the ones that NEVER GET THROWN OUT, the guys like Reid and McCain who could sacrifice a child on an altar made of the bones of nuns on national TV and their constituents would still vote for them.

Work locally, the federal government is a write-off.

30 out of 50 governors in America are Republicans, and almost all of them are budget trimming fiscally conservative. All of them are being very successful coast to coast. That's where the fight is now, to get our states in shape. You can try to stop the federal government at whatever by writing petitions and whatever, but they've proved they aren't listening and hold us in utter contempt. Give it right back; ignore them. Politicians hate nothing more.

This is a good foundation for any local/state level actions:

The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Hey BJ call your commie friend in the White House and ask about persecuting Snowden. For you commielibs all actions of other commielibs are one-off exceptions and never taint Leftism itself (eggs, omelets, etc.). 100 years of ruining countries isn't even a data point about Leftism. "it's never really been tried." Imagine how many hundred millions would be dead if they ever got serious about implementing their plans. But if they give you a free aspirin you click your heels and salute.

Who is John Gault?

Zero Hedge: List of people who voted to continue NSA data collection.

If you think electing Republicans to Congress is the answer, check the list above. One hundred and thirty-four Republicans voted to continue collecting Sheep-Herding data.

This includes darling little Michele Bachmann and Paul Ryan.

I call this Sheep-Herding data because it's not going to be used to uncover terrorist plots or solve crimes, but to control and manipulate the populace. It's modeling data. Totalitarian regimes of the past could not even dream of the stuff that the feds are stacking up.

Correct, the GOP is part of the problem. The federal government has reached the point of not being possible to fix, its irreparable. Write it off and work at home.
