Your Say

On 9/11/2001 the NYTimes ran a puff piece on Bill Ayers and what a cool guy he was.

That was worse, but this is really bad.

We need to understand how much the chattering classes hate Americans.

It really is chilling how deep the rot lies. I was blinded for so many years.

Its just a matter of publicity, and boy are they getting a lot now. It will move copies of a magazine that's dying like the rest of the industry. This is like being outraged that someone carved a buggy whip like a penis.

It helps to glamorize terrorism among young, rootless, men.

The caption on the cover says that the bomber was "a promising kid". Maybe he wasn't that promising after all? Perhaps the soft-headed liberals in Massachusetts who considered him "promising" were wrong? Maybe he was just a manipulator who told them what they wanted to hear and they were delighted?

All someone like Tsarnav needs to do to get the approval of the shallow in our society is to dress a certain way and express approved opinions. Just flatter them by acting like their ideal selves. Be the mirror they can see their own image in. Then you too can become the "promising young man" no matter who you really are.
