The crucial fact to come out of the whole Zimmerman adventure

— crucial, and therefore utterly overlooked -- was that Rachel Jeantel, a prosecution witness and black girl aged nineteen years, can´t read.
The grim implication of this fact is confirmed by the illiteracy of tweets from blacks regarding the case. “Ima kill dat dumass cracker be racis.” Here we see as neatly displayed as if in a jewelry box why so many young blacks will go nowhere in the remaining fifty years of their lives. They can´t read, or barely can. In a fading techno-industrial civilization — I use the latter word frivolously — this consigns them to a life on charity. Is this not of more note than who started what? Fred On Everything

Your Say

Yes, an information economy sorts the intelligent from the stupid like never before, so the first thing we should expect to see is a wider discrepancy in incomes. The LoFos then support statism, which is analogous to the addict voting for his pusher.

I posted this link the other day about blacks and education: http://goo.gl/bHLwC

The left is fine with having losers, freaks, and chumps as their spokesmen. I mean, they loved Sandra Fluke, a slut so massive she couldn't afford enough birth control on her salary.

The left is out in full force, the local Trayvon/Zimmerman protests are being sponsored by.... Citizens in Action, Inc., Occupy, MoveOn Council, Community for Change, Neighborhood Investment Association, Working Families Party and other community, civic, and faith-based groups.
"Faith-based" groups are always socialist in nature.

Amazingly the protest will be held on a work day during working hours.... hmmmm.

It is quite possible to be illiterate, dignified, and even wise at the same time. I'm not sure that literacy would improve this type of person.

Prior to the 21Cen, the tech was more or less accessible to anyone above the level of dunderhead. Anybody with an 8th grade education was fully capable of understanding, working on, building, repairing most any device.

Not so today. If you don't specifically know, it might as well be magic. There is a growing tech divide, and if you're on the wrong side of it, you're joining a cargo cult of dependos. If you're on the other wrong side, you're a techno surrounded by cultists who expect the magic to keep coming, and who will become very annoyed with you if it doesn't.

There's a smaller third group, the demoseers. People who think they can acquire and retain power by promising to the dependos that they can force the technos into thralldom to keep the bennies coming, in exchange for ... certain mandatory periodic propitiation rituals ... er, votes.

The demoseers say to the technos, whattayagonna do and whereyagonna go? We've fixed it so you can't win, you can't break even, and you can't get outta this game.

The boys down in Silicon Valley have said, yep, they're right, the only way we survive is by throwing in with the demoseers.

"♪♫ We gotta get out of this place
If it's the last thing we ever do ...♪♫"

BJ, what planet are you living on? EVERY talk radio, TV host, blogger, and magazine writer made exactly that point. They also made the point you could buy a month's worth of birth control at Wal Mart for a pittance. Maybe if your cult leader allowed you to operate a tv, radio, or doorknob without a minder you would have noticed at the time.

Have you heard of Rush Limbaugh. He's got a little radio show and even made it into the newspapers commenting about Fluke. Despite the reports in Media Matters, he didn't spend 3 hours per day just repeating the word 'slut' over and over. He made exactly the point you condemn all Republicans for not making. So not only did each Republican commentator make the point, the most famous Republican made the point and the liberals created a shit storm because of it.

What is you major malfunction?, over.

I dunno Scott. I'm willing to cut BJ some slack on that one. :-)

No, the crucial fact to come out of the whole Zimmerman adventure is no individual is safe from the government and media apparatchik lynch mob.
