The Composite

memory-remains-composite_37802_600x450.jpg
Formed during the collapse of the Twin Towers, and then months of exposure to high-heat fires, this object has come to be known as the composite.
Weighing between 12 and 15 tons, it holds the compressed remnants of four stories of one of the towers. It is just over four feet high. Memory Remains Pictures - National Geographic

Your Say

More than likely bones in there, too.

Those people didn't stand a chance.

This is why tolerance goes right out the fucking window, in my book. Not only is it overrated, but it is a filthy, cheap, degrading lie. And EVERYBODY knows it.

"then months of exposure to high-heat fires"
what heat source??

My acquaintances who have traveled from Texas to NYC have been disappointed by the World Trade Center
Memorial. They had expected to see displays like this "composite", the "metal cross" the iconic picture of the fire fighters, the picture of the "jumper" pictures of the people in the windows waiting for rescue etc. Instead they say they find a cold wet pit, or a water scene that could be found in any big city. Most have traveled to a church that offered meals and were moved to know workers had slept in the pews and felt it more fitting.
One ex-marine nurse I work with said of the "pit" "it's just more liberal bullshit"

mauser98 if you are a rational thinking human being you know that the buildings contained a lot of elements that burn.
If you are a nut job then the answer is clear. B-J-L has struck again! The Bilderburg-Jewish-Lizards are a tricky bunch.

Gracy I heard the water pit reminded people of a toilet.

From what I understand, the rubble was burning for a long time after the collapse, it took months to clear it all away and hot pockets were regularly discovered.

mauser98. Don't mind Potsie. I'm beginning to understand him, and he's just another variant under the big tent of cranks (of which I am one) here at "Digest." He's "one of us," and sometimes we misconstrue some remarks. I have misconstrued Potsie on several occasions.

As stated by others here: The collapsed rubble at Ground Zero smoldered for months. That phrase in the caption threw me as well.

Don, my sarcasm comes across perfectly in text format. ;)
