Your Say

Meh. I've lived in Texas. Unless you go to the hinterlands, like the Panhandle, most of it is overrated. The big cities are as pussified as anything you're likely to see in Aspen or Sacramento.

Texas is mostly hype. Arizona, now...

Texas: where it is illegal to openly carry a handgun.

JD...
Widespread open-carry is the quickest route to more abusive gun control legislation
and must be discouraged. I legally wear a pistol daily and though licensed to do so,
have never carried openly. It alarms average citizens, results in 911 calls,
and will consume a lot of your time explaining yourself to business proprietors.

Let's leave OC to the attention-whores and protect our 2A rights.

Sunday Anon - Open carry is legal in 45 states.

@Sunday Anon:

"Miz Parks, you know you're supposed to ride in the back of the bus. If you sit up front, the white people will be all upset."

The fact that puling nits get their panties in a twist over open carry does not trump my rights. You may choose to "protect our 2A rights" by fearfully not rocking the boat; I choose a different path.

I can only post Vanderleun's "It is impossible to speak in such a way that you cannot be misunderstood." The picture represent "that freedom isn't free, we don't pass it in our bloodstream to our children.... good men must fight for it daily. It honors our past and our future.

Mock away.

I always thought America was the Texas of nations.
