On second thought, I wouldn't be all that upset if the USA was consumed by fire.

The July 17 season premiere of TLC’s “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” will be aided (and abetted?) by what the network is calling “Watch ’n Sniff” — in which viewers will be able to experience the Georgia-based Thompson clan in all its olfactory glory. Viewers will be prompted to scratch their cards when they see the corresponding number pop up on the screen. -- TLC’s ‘Honey Boo Boo’ comes to your senses - NYPOST.com

Could be worse, it could have been scratch and sniff Kardashians.

I am happy to report that HBB's mom is from our fine town in mid-GA! Take that, you coastal elitists!

Didn't "TLC" used to stand for "The Learning Channel"? If it still does, there are some things that I'm quite happy to not learn. Honey Boo-Boo Scratch-n-Sniff is one of them. I much preferred the time when TLC showed its steady diet of low-key Brit documentaries, dino digs, and pop science.

Now do you understand why some days I'm rooting for the asteroid?

"Make it a good one. I don't want to limp away from this."

No wonder we haven't been contacted by space aliens. They take one look, utter "Feh" and are gone. I suppose they are waiting for the planet to devolve. Darwin allowed that cockroaches and sharks will be the last-man-standing (so to speak)and that will be the indicator for the ETs to return. There will be no communication problem, that's for sure. Maybe make the planet into a huge amusement park sideshow. "Oh, look, Zephar, see the freaky-deaky?"

Just channel surfing across the previews for that show made me feel dumber.

More likely; aliens are using our transmissions as a lesson to teach -warn- their little ones of how NOT to preserve an orbit-bound civilization.
