The thing about fire ants may be obsolete. There's a new strain, first observed in Pearland, TX, known as 'crazy Raspberry' ants (Raspberry being the name of the tech that identified them); (1)they kill fire ants, (2) they could care less about people (they don't sting).
They do, however, have a fondness for electrical equipment
