Imagine if New Yorkers had resisted Bloomberg when he announced the first stupid idea. Instead, they mocked it, complied, and found themselves with more stupid ideas. That's the point. Until you fight back, however early or late, there are more stupid ideas coming. If you sit around and comment and hope the opponent will just run out of stupid ideas or be stopped by an inner sense of guilt you will become a slave.

Nobody is admiring you for playing by the rules, except you. By playing by the rules you are aiding and abetting the tyrants. If you want you children to have any freedom you must resist on their behalf.
