Slithering Across the Rubicon

Why is Rubio destroying himself over [the Immigration Bill]? He was the Golden Boy for 2016.

The only possible conclusion I can infer from these disparate creatures all rallying and hallooing like hysterical witchburners around a staked young lass is the corrupting influence of Mexican cartel money. The average politician's principles can fall rather quickly by the wayside with a nice sudden influx of untraceable cash. An incorruptible politician can likewise be persuaded when an envelope of photos of beheaded Mexicans, along with photos of his family, mysteriously appears in his briefcase. Let's face it: how hard is it, really, to extort 60 United States Senators? Especially if 50 are already on your side? -- Velociworld

Your Say

Its pretty obvious that he just believes its the right thing to do. This isn't a politician gone corrupt, he's always been like this on immigration. He's wrong but he's just showing integrity.

Surprise: I also find Rubio's near-traitorous positions "disconcerting." He was SUCH a good salesman.

At first, I suspected that someone like a Schumer had some real dirt on Rubio and, rather than being trashed by revelations, he chose to take the risk of trying to have it both ways with this bill (yes, yes, I know that's like wanting to eat your cake and have it, too...).

(I'm shocked, SHOCKED! it failed...)

Then, I listened to others in Florida who are more familiar with Rubio's "local" (i.e. FL) record: NOT the best, by any measure. SO, I suppose Rubio is just another one of those golden-tongued-Snake-Oil-salesmen. DIME A DOZEN.

Disappointing, but better to know NOW than in 2016.

He's playing for 2024.

Yes ! ... of course! ... he sincerely believes wTF he's saying that particular day.

The mere fact that he would work with RINOMcCain and the assorted evil Incarnate from the Dim Party on this charade speaks to his true intellectual and moral structure.

And spare me any of that "willing to seek bipartisan amity" integrity-BS
