Our civil servants have become untenable monsters.

When I read the U.S. Park Police had "lost track" of 1,400 guns I initially wrote it off as more bad government. But screw that. They didn't lose track of those guns. They sold them to criminals. You know they did. The federal government has become completely unglued. It is an ongoing criminal syndicate. -- Velociworld: To the Lamp Post

Your Say

Something I began to notice about 20 years ago when dealing with the DMV. Not only does government attract the criminals, but the stupid as well.

The Obama DOJ had a scam going on for a while that involved picking on ordinary citizens who were making too many "cash transactions" with their banks. I'm not talking about $10K and up, but rather, in the hundreds of dollars range. These poor schmucks would be flagged and accused of "money laundering." The DOJ personnel would offer to "drop the charges" in return for confiscation of 60% of their account's contents. This happened to a friend of mine. His case was dropped when someone from another agency pointed out that this was blatant extortion. However, the whole scam has otherwise never come to light -- at least, not yet.

One additional disturbing note about this? The fact that the DOJ could drill that far down to find easy victims. That's a whole lot of records to go through. Sound familiar?
