I never forget that Beck is in it for the money. Doesn't make him bad, just makes me smart to remember it. Better he have it than Soros. Maybe.
Yet somehow, for all his jibing and sniping at Obama, and his impressive reach of influence in the U.S., he hasn't drawn the notice of the Obama Administration like Rush has or Andrew Breitbart had. He is ignored by the Left and vilified mostly by the Right. Crazy like a fox, or just crazy?
I ponder at times at the strange alliances that may be formed in the pursuit of freedom. Glenn's messiah complex may serve us very well. Where Islamic fanaticism is a corporate effort to accomplish Allah's will by rote acts of obedience and violence, Beck's very personal conviction of his place in the world stage is something to observe quietly and measure by its actual accomplishments. I think he has the long vision for re-education and the short-game savvy of fundraising. Formidable.
