Agreed.

The battle of Waterloo was won on the playing fields of Eton.
- attributed to Wellington, but doubtful.

And where did Obama play; and where did Putin.

Hey double-poster:

Are you serious?
What's so funny?
Cut the crap.
You talk like a sausage.
Fuck off.

You can tell a lot about just about anyone by handing them a firearm.

News you can use.

We usually know a lot about public figures. What we've been able to find about Obama before politics wouldn't fill a year book caption.

What we've found out since is depressing all on its own hook.

Putin is a poser just like Obama, he's just better at it. Plus, he made his bones in the 70s with the KGB.

What I see are two thugs, captains of their respective oligarchies.

Posted by: edaddy at June 25, 2013 5:44 PM

I am no fan of Putin, but he came up in a world where it was win or die. Barry came up in a world where it was win or be given a charitable foundation directorship.

Perception is everything.

Posted by: tom doughy at June 25, 2013 7:36 PM

I respect Putin but I don't like him.
He's playing a losing hand very well, demanding the world believe that the old/new Russian Empire still exists and trying to make it happen by sheer will power.

Obama started with a nation on top of it's power and prestige and is trying to drag it down to his opinion of it.

Was it Machiavelli said to his prince "they don't have to respect you, as long as they fear you"? I might be wrong in ascribing but the sentiment is there.

In the eyes of the world, even the wretched little backwater countries, Barry evokes neither the respect nor the fear.

If you judge Obama based on the goals he had when he started, he is the must successful president in the history of the republic.

I believe there is a fair chance he may be the last one.

It doesn't take a weatherman, etc, etc...

I believe there is a fair chance he may be the last one.

You're right; Hillary supporters and GOP are in for a rude awakening in 2016. My prediction since 2008 is that Obama goes absolutely nowhere in 2016. The communists aren't going to let a little thing like law get in the way of staying in control. They've worked too hard for the revolution. With the Republicans (heave) in the process of helping the Left flip Texas by flooding it with millions of illegals who'll vote left, the die is cast. It's marxist tyrants all the way down.

Me? Right now I'm painting and tending my garden and worshiping while it's still legal---trying to enjoy the little things in life while they can still be obtained. Later, I don't know what I'll do later. It will be hell when America finally finds out it's lost its freedom.

Posted by: ahem at June 26, 2013 4:15 AM

Oh, and I kind of like Putin; he's much more butch than Obama. I like butch in a world leader.

But I wish he'd refrain from going topless. There's too much ugliness in the world as it is.

Not worried about the Russians in the least. They have their own row to hoe and it just keeps getting longer.

Lincoln was all over this in the 1850's.

A critique that is true is just that - truth. And so you are the epitome of physical and mentally divine health? Dear Arthurstone,- it is you and progs like you who should be jailed forever for hypocrisy.

Obama can't heel a dog, how can he expect to bring a man to heel. It just keeps getting worse for the Chicago Empty Suit.

Posted by: Roger in Republic at June 27, 2013 2:07 PM

Obama has serious issues, but...

Anyone who hunts with his shirt off is clearly overcompensating for something.
