Your Say

People who hate squirrels and obsess about keeping them out of bird feeders are a mystery to me.

Squirrels are awesome.

Chipmunks, too. One fall I once threw about 8 lbs of spoiled uncooked rice onto my compost pile. The chipmunks noticed. Over the next 2 days, they methodically raided the compost pile, stuffing rice grains into their cheeks and running away to stock their hideouts. By the end of the 2 days, the entire pile of rice was gone! That's a lot of moving for those little guys. I think I single-handedly preserved a lot of chipmunk lives over the long Canadian winter that followed.

The feeder is your bank, the grain is your money and the squirrel is a liberal.
